TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist all-age SEND school in Bridgwater, supporting children and young people aged 4 to 19. The school provides a highly inclusive and supportive environment, with a strong focus on meeting individual needs and promoting independence for pupils with complex learning difficulties.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Learning Support Assistant on a long-term, part-time basis working 2 days per week. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will be supporting students with a range of needs including MLD, SLD, PMLD, ASD and sensory impairments, working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support in line with EHCPs.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Knowledge of supporting needs such as ASD, PMLD, SLD or sensory impairments
• Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to support across the school
