Salary: £14.26 - £18.00 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Bridgwater that provides a nurturing and structured environment for children with Autism Spectrum Condition. The setting focuses on early years development, promoting communication, independence and emotional regulation through a supportive and child-centred approach.

The school is looking to take on a full time SEND Learning Support Assistant on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will be supporting pupils within an ASC specialist early years provision, working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support, encourage engagement and manage behaviours effectively.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
• Experience working with children with Autism / ASC, ideally within an early years setting
• A strong understanding of SEND needs and early development
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A calm, patient and adaptable approach
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to get stuck in
