SEND Maths Tutor
Location: Lewisham area
Start date: September 2026
Pay rate: £20–£30 per hour

TeacherActive is looking for a dedicated and patient SEND Maths Tutor to provide 1:1 support to a learner in the Lewisham area, starting in September.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities who can deliver engaging, tailored maths sessions that build confidence, understanding, and progress.
The role will involve:
Providing 1:1 maths tuition tailored to the learner’s individual needs
Planning and delivering accessible, engaging sessions
Supporting confidence, motivation, and numeracy skills
Adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles
Tracking progress and giving regular feedback
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience teaching or tutoring maths
Experience working with SEND learners (6 months experience)
A calm, patient, and encouraging approach
Strong communication and organisational skills
A relevant teaching, tutoring, or support background
