TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEND provision based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher. The provision provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills through tailored learning approaches and therapeutic support.
The provision is looking to take on a compassionate SEND Teacher on a long-term contract with an immediate start available. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to children and young people with additional needs, while supporting pupils both academically and socially. The Senior Leadership Team are committed to ensuring the successful SEND Teacher feels supported and developed throughout the placement.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
• QTS
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management
• The ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, caring and proactive attitude
