Salary: £150 - £170 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision in Leicester (LE2), supporting students aged 11 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health needs. The setting provides a structured and nurturing environment, focused on building positive relationships and supporting students to re-engage with education.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teacher on a full-time basis until May half term, with the potential to continue beyond for the right SEND Teacher. The successful SEND Teacher will be working with students with SEMH needs and looked after children (LAC), delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting both academic and emotional development.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• A valid DBS on the update service
• Experience working with SEMH and challenging behaviours
• Experience supporting looked after children (LAC)
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• A resilient, patient, and adaptable approach
