TeacherActive are recruiting for a strong, experienced Teaching Assistant to work in an STF Unit within a fantastic partner school in Swansea.
⚠️ This is a challenging but highly rewarding role. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs, who may display challenging behaviour, struggle with emotional regulation, or require consistent 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day.
This role requires someone who can:
Remain calm under pressure
Think on their feet
Use initiative and strong behaviour management strategies
Build trusting relationships with pupils
Support both academic and emotional development
✅ What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting children with ALN and challenging behaviour
Experience working in schools, specialist provisions, or similar settings
A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive, resilient, and confident attitude
