The school has a strong academic reputation, offers separate sciences from Year 7, and provides excellent facilities including three specialist laboratories, alongside a supportive and sociable staff environment.

The school is looking to appoint a Science Teacher on a long-term basis from September, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right Science Teacher. The successful Science Teacher will be expected to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including A Level, demonstrating excellent subject knowledge and maintaining high expectations of student achievement.

The successful Science Teacher will have:

• QTS with a specialist Science degree (Biology, Chemistry or Physics).
• Experience teaching Science across Key Stage 3 & 4; A ‘Level experience desirable.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach separate sciences.
• Excellent classroom management and high expectations of behaviour and attainment.
• A proactive and professional approach to teaching.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a high performing department.
