Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them thrive? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive SEND school in the Mansfield area. The school provides a calm, nurturing environment for children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including Autism (ASC), ADHD and complex learning needs — and they are now looking for a compassionate, dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills as a Teaching Assistant while making a real difference in pupils’ lives every day.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Teaching Assistant:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
Assisting with tailored learning activities guided by EHCPs
Promoting confidence, independence and positive behaviour
Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals
Helping to maintain a safe, engaging and supportive classroom environment
Temp-to-perm opportunity available for the right person
✅ We’d Love to Hear from You If You:
Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND (Autism, ADHD or complex needs)
Are patient, caring and resilient
Communicate clearly and enjoy working as part of a team
Understand safeguarding and child protection expectations
Have school or specialist-setting experience (desirable but not essential)
