ASD Teaching Assistant Required

Caerphilly

An outstanding primary school in the Caerphilly area is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team full time, supporting children with a range of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) needs.

The school is looking for a candidate who is passionate, motivated and experienced in this specialised field.

Key Requirements

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification and/or a minimum of six months’ experience in an educational setting
  • A calm, patient and compassionate demeanour
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience supporting students both 1:1 and in small groups

Successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide at least two professional references.
