Job Title: Teaching Assistant ALN
Location: Cardiff
Start Date: September
Salary: £14.25 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school based in Cardiff. This inner-city school serves a low-socioeconomic area and prides itself on creating a supportive and inclusive environment for both pupils and staff. Staff work collaboratively to overcome challenges head on, ensuring students are supported both academically and emotionally throughout their education.
The school is looking to take on a full-time Teaching Assistant ALN on a long-term basis from September. The successful Teaching Assistant ALN will be supporting secondary aged pupils with PMLD, working closely with the class teacher and wider ALN department to ensure students can access learning in a safe and nurturing environment. The successful Teaching Assistant ALN will need to be proactive, patient and adaptable within the classroom setting.
The successful Teaching Assistant ALN will have:
Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD
A caring and patient nature
Strong communication and teamwork skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning
Experience working within a secondary school or ALN setting
