TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large and inclusive school in Cardiff that provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils with Additional Learning Needs. The school promotes a strong ethos of care, inclusion and emotional wellbeing, ensuring all pupils feel safe, supported and able to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a long term, temporary basis starting in September 2026. The successful Teaching Assistant will be working within a nurture group, supporting pupils with ALN and social, emotional and mental health needs, delivering targeted interventions and helping to manage behaviour in a calm and structured environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children with ALN / additional needs
• Previous experience supporting within a nurture group or similar setting
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient, calm and resilient approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to support across the setting
