TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Sale that supports young people aged 11–25 with a range of complex needs. The setting promotes a nurturing and inclusive environment, focusing on independence, life skills and personalised learning for all students.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting students with PMLD, Autism and SEMH, working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support and assist with both academic and personal development.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working with young people with SEND, specifically PMLD, Autism and SEMH
• Understanding of EHCPs and individualised support strategies
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
