TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and supportive primary school based in Risca. The school has a warm and nurturing environment, with high expectations of both pupils and staff, creating a positive and focused setting for learning.

The school is looking to take on a full time Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis to cover maternity leave starting in May. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting a Year 4 class, working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to pupils.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or at least 6 months experience working with children
• Experience working within a primary school setting, ideally Key Stage 2
• Experience supporting children within a classroom environment
• Strong classroom support and behaviour management skills
• A positive, proactive and flexible approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
