TeacherActive is proud to be working with secondary schools across Mansfield, providing opportunities for experienced Teaching Assistants to support students with additional needs. These schools are committed to creating inclusive learning environments where students are supported both academically and emotionally to achieve their full potential.
We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work on both day-to-day and longer-term assignments across Mansfield. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting students with ASD and SEMH needs, working closely with classroom teachers and pastoral teams to provide tailored support, manage behaviour positively, and encourage student engagement throughout the school day.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• At least 6 months experience working within a UK education setting
• Experience supporting children or young people with ASD and SEMH
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• Experience working within a secondary school environment
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
