Do you have experience working within a secondary school supporting KS3 and KS4 students with behavioural needs?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Stafford with an OFSTED rating of Good, who are looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor. The school promotes a supportive and inclusive environment where staff work collaboratively to ensure all students are given the opportunity to succeed, regardless of barriers to learning.

This Behaviour Mentor role is a long-term position starting in September, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. The Behaviour Mentor will work across KS3 and KS4, supporting identified pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support to remain engaged in education. The Behaviour Mentor will be instrumental in helping to reduce disruptions, improve attendance and encourage positive learning behaviours both inside and outside the classroom.

The successful Behaviour Mentor will have:
• Experience working with young people with behavioural, emotional or social needs
• Strong behaviour management skills within a school or similar setting
• Experience supporting KS3 and KS4 students in a secondary school environment
• Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students
• A calm, resilient and consistent approach
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and pupil welfare
