TeacherActive is proud to be working with a successful secondary school in Gloucestershire that is seeking to appoint a Design and Technology Teacher. The school has a strong ethos centred around inclusion, ambition, kindness, and high expectations, creating a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to thrive. The Design and Technology department is exceptionally well-resourced, featuring dedicated workshops, specialist ICT facilities, and a range of traditional and modern manufacturing technologies.

The school is looking to appoint a Design and Technology Teacher on a permanent basis from September 2026. The successful Design and Technology Teacher will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a particular focus on Resistant Materials. You will be responsible for planning and delivering an inspiring curriculum, supporting student progress, and contributing to the continued success of the Design and Technology department.

The successful Design and Technology Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Design and Technology specialism

• Experience teaching Design and Technology up to Key Stage 4 / KS4

• Strong subject knowledge in Resistant Materials

• Excellent classroom management skills

• The ability to inspire creativity and independent learning

• A commitment to raising achievement and maintaining high standards
