Salary: £14.26 - £16.00 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a highly respected specialist SEND school in Bristol that provides a supportive, inclusive and nurturing environment for pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties. With a dedicated team, excellent resources and a child-centred approach, the school is committed to helping every learner develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

The school is seeking a full-time LSA to join their team on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful LSA will work closely with pupils with Autism, SLD, PMLD and complex needs, providing tailored support both inside and outside the classroom, encouraging participation, promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils achieve their individual learning goals.

The successful LSA will have:

• TA, LSA or relevant equivalent qualification

• Experience working within a SEND school or specialist provision

• Knowledge of Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

• Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours and/or complex medical needs

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A caring, resilient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young people
