TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in the outskirts of Treorchy, who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. A setting that encourages learning through play and curiosity, the Learning Support Assistant will be amongst staff who ensure every child has a fun-filled, educational day! In the classroom, they have key values such as community spirit and ambition to ensure all children know their potential and work hard achieving this.

The school is looking to take on a driven Learning Support Assistant on a day-to-day basis, with the hope of long-term placement. Looking for a Learning Support Assistant who can work within a Year 1 group setting, the ideal candidate will be able to help children to problem solve and find solutions through education. Helping with intervention and delivering the curriculum, exploration will need to be encouraged by the Learning Support Assistant to deescalate challenging behaviour in the class. The Senior Leadership Team are dedicated to ensure the successful Learning Support Assistant will be supported and developed from day one.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (Level 2 welcomed)
• Education support experience in the UK
• Excellent classroom management
• Creativity and adaptability to all classroom situations
