TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive Secondary School in Essex that is committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The school promotes high standards of behaviour, encourages student achievement and provides excellent support for both staff and pupils.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis for both day-to-day and long-term cover opportunities. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, working alongside teaching staff to maintain engagement, support learning outcomes and demonstrate excellent classroom management skills.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or within a Secondary School setting

• Experience supporting students across KS3 and KS4

• Strong classroom management skills

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

• The ability to support students with varying learning needs and abilities

• A positive, adaptable and proactive approach
