Maths Teacher
Location: Newcastle
Start Date: Immediate Start / September 2026
Salary: £160 - £250 per day (Paid to Scale)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Newcastle that is looking to appoint a Maths Teacher. The school is committed to creating a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential, supported by a dedicated leadership team and strong departmental structure.
The school is looking to take on a Maths Teacher on either a long-term or permanent basis. The successful Maths Teacher will be responsible for teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with some KS5 responsibilities, as well as planning, preparation, assessment and marking to ensure students make excellent progress.
The successful Maths Teacher will have:
• QTS with a Maths specialism
• Experience teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
• Experience delivering KS5 Maths lessons desirable
• Strong planning, preparation and marking skills
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management abilities
• A positive, adaptable and committed approach to teaching and learning
