TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming private day nurseries across Leeds and Wakefield, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Chef. These nurseries provide nurturing and engaging environments for children and take pride in promoting healthy eating habits and positive mealtime experiences.
The nurseries are looking to take on a part-time Nursery Chef on an ongoing basis. The successful Nursery Chef will be responsible for planning and preparing balanced meals and snacks, maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene, and ensuring all dietary requirements are met while supporting the overall well-being of the children.
The successful Nursery Chef will have:
- Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum)
- Previous experience working as a Nursery Chef, School Chef, or in a similar catering environment
- Knowledge of food allergies, dietary requirements, and nutritional guidelines for young children
- Understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance procedures
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- A positive and reliable approach to work
