Hours: Flexible working hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm

TeacherActive has built a long-standing relationship with a highly regarded nursery setting in Bishop's Stortford and is currently recruiting for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their dedicated team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate childcare professional looking to work within a supportive and welcoming environment. The successful candidate will work across various rooms within the nursery, supporting children of different age groups and contributing to their learning and development.

The Role

As a Qualified Nursery Practitioner, you will:

• Provide high-quality care and education for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through engaging activities and play opportunities.

• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

• Observe, assess and record children's progress and development.

• Ensure the safety, welfare and safeguarding of all children at all times.

• Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development.

• Support daily nursery routines, including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor play.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across different nursery rooms to maintain a positive and nurturing environment.

• Promote inclusion and support the individual needs of every child.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health and safety throughout the setting.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education (or equivalent).

• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.

• A sound understanding of the EYFS framework.

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection practices.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development.
