Primary SEND Learning Support Assistant

The provision prides itself on delivering tailored support that enables children with Autism / ASD to develop academically, socially and emotionally while celebrating their individual strengths.

The provision is looking to appoint a Primary SEND Learning Support Assistant on either a day-to-day or long-term basis from September. The successful Primary SEND Learning Support Assistant will work with pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2, supporting children with Autism / ASD both within the classroom and through targeted interventions to promote engagement, independence and positive learning outcomes.

The successful Primary SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD within a SEND or educational setting

• Experience working with pupils across KS1 and KS2

• A strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive learning practices

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
