Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £95 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of SEND schools in Newcastle that provide specialist support for children and young people with a range of additional needs. These schools are committed to creating inclusive learning environments where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
The schools are looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant on a flexible day-to-day basis with an immediate start. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them to access learning, manage behaviours and achieve their individual targets. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, patient and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• A patient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A proactive and flexible attitude
• Experience supporting challenging behaviour is desirable
