TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision in South Bristol that supports children and young people with a range of additional needs. The setting promotes a nurturing and structured environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships through consistent support and therapeutic approaches.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND LSA on a long-term basis. The successful SEND LSA will work closely with pupils diagnosed with SEMH, ASC and ADHD, supporting both their learning and emotional wellbeing, while using effective behaviour management and de-escalation techniques to help pupils engage positively throughout the school day.

The successful SEND LSA will have:

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND, particularly SEMH, ASC and ADHD

• Experience managing challenging behaviour in an educational or care setting

• Team Teach or other de-escalation training is highly desirable

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A calm, patient and resilient approach

• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
