Salary: £95 - £105 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming and inclusive Primary Schools across Middlesbrough that are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant. These schools are committed to providing a supportive learning environment where every child is encouraged to succeed, regardless of their individual needs or challenges.

The schools are looking to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will work across a range of Primary Schools, supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, MLD and other SEND requirements. The role will involve delivering targeted support, promoting engagement and helping pupils access learning both inside and outside the classroom.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
• Experience supporting children with SEND within an educational setting
• Knowledge of a range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, ADHD and MLD
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
