TeacherActive are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our early years team for two days per week. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young children at a crucial stage of their development within a warm and nurturing environment.
You will work closely with the class teacher and wider team to support children’s learning through play-based activities, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities
- Assist with the care, supervision, and wellbeing of nursery-aged children
- Help to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Work with individuals and small groups to support development
- Assist with observations and record-keeping
- Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents/carers
What we are looking for:
- Experience working with young children (preferably in an early years setting)
- A relevant childcare qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Phase
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
