Role Overview
The school is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant ALN on a long-term contract starting in September. The successful candidate will support secondary-aged pupils with PMLD, working closely with class teachers and the wider ALN department to facilitate access to learning within a safe and nurturing setting. We are looking for a proactive, patient, and adaptable individual who can meet the diverse needs of the classroom.
Key Attributes of the Successful Teaching Assistant ALN:
- Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD
- A compassionate and patient approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- A proactive and flexible attitude towards supporting learning
- Experience working within a secondary school or ALN setting
