About the Role:
We are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 class in a school within the Treorchy area. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in supporting the class teacher and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support within a Year 2 setting
- Assist the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
- Work with small groups of pupils to support learning and progress
- Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment
- Help prepare resources and assist with lesson delivery
Requirements:
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to work confidently with small groups of children
- Proactive, with strong initiative and the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working with minimal direction from the class teacher
- Reliable, adaptable, and committed to full-time work
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting is desirable
