No previous school experience? That's okay. If you've worked with children or young people in any capacity, or have transferable skills from childcare, support work, coaching, care, youth work, or customer-facing roles, we can help you take the next step into education.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Assist teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment
- Support children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and key learning skills
- Support children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- A positive, patient, and caring approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
