TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Secondary School in Rhondda Cynon Taf who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school is supported by a strong partnership between pupils, parents, staff and governors, with a shared commitment to ensuring every student is supported, challenged and encouraged to achieve the very best outcomes both academically and personally.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with students displaying challenging behaviour, providing tailored support both inside and outside the classroom to promote engagement, positive behaviour and successful learning outcomes across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Patience, resilience and a positive attitude
• A commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential
