Salary: £100 - £110 per day

Are you patient, resilient and able to work effectively alongside a tutor within a home-based learning environment?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an alternative provision supporting an 8-year-old student with severe learning difficulties who is non-verbal. The student receives education within their home in Stourport-on-Severn and requires consistent, individualised support to help them engage with their learning.

The provision is looking to take on a 1:1 Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an ASAP start. The successful 1:1 Teaching Assistant will work alongside the student's tutor, providing dedicated one-to-one support, helping the student access learning activities and responding appropriately to their individual communication and learning needs.

The successful 1:1 Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant / SEND qualification is desirable
• Experience supporting children with severe learning difficulties / SLD
• Experience supporting non-verbal children or young people
• Experience providing one-to-one SEND support
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside a tutor
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
