TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream school based in Cardiff, CF14, who are looking to appoint an ALN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their dedicated ALN base. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where pupils with additional learning needs can develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated ALN Teaching Assistant on a long-term, part-time basis, working Mondays and Tuesdays with an ASAP start. The successful ALN Teaching Assistant will support pupils with additional learning needs, providing tailored classroom support, assisting with learning activities and working alongside teaching staff to ensure pupils can access the curriculum and achieve their individual targets.

The successful ALN Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)

• Experience supporting children or young people with Additional Learning Needs / ALN

• Experience working within a mainstream school or specialist ALN provision

• A good understanding of supporting pupils with different learning abilities and individual needs

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to supporting pupils
