An ambitious and welcoming mainstream secondary school in Battersea is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Biology Teacher to join the Science Department for a one-term fixed-term contract commencing September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, delivering engaging Biology lessons that promote curiosity, academic achievement and a love of science.

The Role

• Teach Biology across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum and examination specifications.
• Assess, monitor and support student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
• Contribute to the wider life of the Science Department and school community.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience teaching Biology to KS3–KS5, including A Level.
• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management skills.
• Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
