We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the school on a long-term basis, starting immediately! You'll be supporting a deaf pupil in the classroom, putting your British Sign Language (BSL) Level 3 skills to great use by helping them communicate, build friendships, access learning and feel fully involved in school life. This is a fantastic opportunity to be that familiar, encouraging face who makes each school day that little bit brighter!
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
British Sign Language (BSL) Level 3 qualification (essential)
Experience supporting deaf or hearing-impaired children
Experience working with pupils in a school or educational setting
Confidence using BSL to support communication and classroom learning
A positive, patient and encouraging approach
A genuine passion for helping children grow in confidence and independence
