Location: Swansea

Salary: £14.45 – £15 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an FE College in Swansea that is looking for a reliable, organised and practical Caretaker to join their team.

The College is committed to providing safe, secure and well-maintained premises for its students, staff and visitors.

As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for a range of general maintenance, security and caretaking duties across the College estate. This will include carrying out temporary repairs, key holder responsibilities, porterage, room set-ups, monitoring facilities and supporting emergency evacuation procedures.

️ The successful Caretaker will have:

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant craft or equivalent experience (desirable)

• Previous experience working as a Caretaker (desirable)

• Knowledge of COSHH, Health & Safety and manual handling procedures, or willingness to undertake relevant training

• A full driving licence and ability to travel between College sites

• The ability to work independently, use initiative and complete tasks in an organised and methodical manner

• A reliable, adaptable and self-motivated approach

• Good customer care and teamwork skills

• A valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new DBS
