TeacherActive is looking for a dedicated Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer to join a Further Education college in Neath, supporting learners as they develop the practical skills and industry knowledge needed for successful careers in construction.
️ THE ROLE
As a Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer, you will:
- Deliver engaging theoretical and practical lessons.
- Help learners develop their Carpentry & Joinery skills.
- Assess learner progress and support their development.
- Maintain a safe, positive and productive workshop environment.
✅ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A relevant Carpentry & Joinery qualification, ideally Level 3 or equivalent.
- Relevant industry experience in Carpentry & Joinery.
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PCE or equivalent) desirable.
- Experience teaching or training learners in Further Education or a vocational setting desirable.
- Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
- A sound understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping learners reach their full potential.
