Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Vale of Glamorgan
Start Date: After October Half Term (2nd November 2026)
Salary: £110 per day
Contract: Temporary, Long-Term
Hours: Full-Time

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming secondary school in the Vale of Glamorgan that is looking to appoint a reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their team after October half term.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong classroom management skills who enjoys working with young people and is looking to gain valuable experience in a supportive secondary school environment.
The successful Cover Supervisor will have:
Experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
A flexible, proactive and professional approach.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
The role will involve:
Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and ensuring pupils remain on task.
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Supporting pupils with their learning and encouraging positive engagement.
Working closely with teaching staff to maintain a positive learning environment.
