Salary: £140 - £190 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Colchester who are looking to appoint a reliable and adaptable General Cover professional. The school is seeking someone who can build positive relationships with students, encourage engagement in lessons and maintain a supportive and productive learning environment.
The school is looking to take on a General Cover professional on a temporary, full-time basis with an immediate start, supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of secondary subjects, managing classroom behaviour effectively and ensuring students remain focused, motivated and engaged throughout the school day.
The successful General Cover will have:
Experience working with secondary-aged students across KS3 and KS4
Previous experience delivering lessons, supervising classrooms or working with groups of young people
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Confidence delivering pre-planned work across a range of secondary subjects
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
A flexible, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting students' learning
