TeacherActive is working closely with a number of secondary schools across Derbyshire that are looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors. These schools provide supportive working environments where staff are encouraged to maintain high expectations and create positive learning experiences for students.

We are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor for flexible day-to-day work, with long-term opportunities available for the right Cover Supervisor. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and ensure students remain focused on their work. This Cover Supervisor role requires someone who can adapt quickly to different classroom environments while building positive relationships with students and staff.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with young people within an education or similar setting
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence supervising pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
• The ability to build positive relationships with secondary-aged students
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
