Job Title: DT Teacher

Salary: £32,916 - £52,048 per annum

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in Salford, which has been awarded a 'Good' OFSTED rating. The school offers a supportive teaching and learning environment, with a committed team of staff, a modern practical facility and a strong focus on professional development.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated DT Teacher on a full-time, permanent basis from January 2027, teaching Design Technology across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful DT Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively and supporting students in developing their technical knowledge, creativity and practical skills.
The successful DT Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
A relevant degree or specialism in Design Technology
Experience teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4
Strong knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum and practical classroom safety
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A positive, enthusiastic approach with a commitment to raising student achievement
