The Opportunity
TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and welcoming mainstream secondary school in Neath, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Design Technology Teacher for an immediate start.
The school offers a positive and supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their creativity, practical abilities and confidence.
This is initially a temporary position, with the potential to become long-term or permanent for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, practical and inspiring Design Technology lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5, catering to students of varying abilities while maintaining high expectations and excellent classroom management.
✏️ What We're Looking For
The successful Design Technology Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs/NQTs are welcome to apply!
- Experience teaching Design Technology across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Design Technology curriculum.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to deliver creative, engaging and practical lessons.
- A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
