TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-established Grammar School in the Medway area that is looking to appoint a Design Technology Teacher. Rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED, the school provides a warm and friendly environment for both staff and students, with a bespoke curriculum designed to develop knowledge, skills and attributes while promoting outstanding academic success in a nurturing environment.
The school is looking to take on a full-time, long-term Design Technology Teacher from January 2027. The successful Design Technology Teacher will be teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons, maintaining high expectations and supporting students to achieve their full potential. The Senior Leadership Team are committed to supporting and developing the successful Design Technology Teacher from day one.
The successful Design Technology Teacher will have:
QTS with a Design Technology specialism
Experience teaching Design Technology across KS3 and KS4
Strong classroom management skills
Excellent subject knowledge and an understanding of health and safety in practical lessons
Strong communication and organisational skills
A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
