Salary: £145 - £230 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision in Swindon to recruit a SEND English Teacher. The setting supports young people who may find mainstream education challenging, providing personalised learning opportunities with a strong focus on rebuilding confidence, raising aspirations and helping pupils achieve positive outcomes.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND English Teacher on a temporary basis starting ASAP, ideally working full-time, although part-time applications will be considered for the right person. The successful SEND English Teacher will deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons, adapting teaching to individual needs while maintaining high expectations for learning, engagement and personal development.

The successful SEND English Teacher will have:

• QTS with an English specialism, or a relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English to secondary-aged pupils.
• Experience within SEND, SEMH or alternative provision settings is desirable.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to adapt lessons to meet a range of individual learning and emotional needs.
• A patient, resilient and positive approach with the ability to build strong relationships with young people.
