Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Stoke-On-Trent

Salary Range: £150 - £200

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school based in Stoke-On-Trent, that supports students with SEMH backgrounds. Most students have an EHCP plan in place, and you will be working in a smaller, structured environment with high staffing ratios, to ensure the safety and active learning of the students. You will need excellent classroom management, and a nurturing, caring and calm approach to teaching. An good understanding and experience working with young people who display challenging behaviours
The HeadTeacher is looking to take on a driven English Teacher, on a Long-Term basis until the end of the academic year. This will lead to a permanent position for the right English Teacher. The successful English Teacher will be working across both Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4/ KS4, including exam preparation for GCSE’s. The role will be paramount in helping students increase attainment levels, whilst following and implementing the schemes of learning.
The successful English Teacher will have:
QTS (ECTs welcome to apply)
Experience teaching English up to Secondary Key Stages
Excellent classroom management
