TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with Local Authorities and Alternative Education Providers across Gloucestershire to recruit experienced Tutors to support children and young people requiring education outside of mainstream settings.

These rewarding opportunities involve delivering face-to-face, one-to-one tuition within learners' homes or appropriate community settings. You will support students with a range of needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, medical needs, anxiety, or those excluded from mainstream education.

We are looking for Tutors who can provide engaging, tailored learning programmes that inspire confidence, improve educational outcomes, and help learners re-engage with education at their own pace.

The successful Tutor will have:

• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent) or substantial experience delivering one-to-one tuition.

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND, SEMH, EHCPs, autism, ADHD, or other additional learning needs.

• The ability to plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet individual learning styles and targets.

• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.

• Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.

• A patient, empathetic, resilient, and flexible approach.

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between learners is required.
