Job Title: General Cover Teacher (QTS)

Salary: £180 - £240 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Oxford. The school provides a supportive learning environment with a focus on maintaining high expectations, promoting positive behaviour and encouraging students to engage positively with their education.
The school is looking for an experienced General Cover Teacher on a long-term basis, with flexible day-to-day work also available. The successful General Cover Teacher will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of secondary subjects, managing classroom behaviour effectively and ensuring students remain focused and engaged with their learning across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4.
The successful General Cover Teacher will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Previous teaching experience within a UK secondary school setting
Confidence teaching and delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary school subjects
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills, with the ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
Strong IT skills, including confidence using interactive whiteboards, school systems and digital learning resources
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a flexible, reliable and proactive approach
