TeacherActive are proud to be recruiting for qualified Secondary Teachers with QTS to work on a flexible day-to-day basis across a variety of mainstream secondary schools in Cardiff and the surrounding areas. We are looking for a General Secondary Teacher to work from September 2027, providing day-to-day cover for planned and unplanned staff absences across a range of subjects. This flexible role is ideal for a General Secondary Teacher who enjoys variety, can quickly build positive relationships with students and staff, and is confident delivering pre-planned lessons while maintaining excellent classroom management.

The successful General Secondary Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching within UK mainstream secondary schools
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• The ability to adapt quickly across different subjects and school environments
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive, flexible and proactive approach to teaching
