Headteacher

West Midlands/ permanent / £65k - 75k per year

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an independent SEMH specialist day school in Birmingham, catering for students across Key Stage 2 / KS2 to Key Stage 5 / KS5 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties and a range of complex additional needs. The school is part of a specialist organisation providing care and education support to children and young people with complex mental health disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioural difficulties, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes and nurturing independence.

The school is looking to appoint an experienced Head Teacher on a permanent basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful Head Teacher will provide strong, hands-on leadership across the school, supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND and complex needs while building effective relationships with pupils, staff, parents and other key stakeholders.

The successful Head Teacher will have:

• NPQH qualification
• Relevant teaching and leadership qualifications
• Previous experience in a senior leadership or Head Teacher role
• Strong experience working with pupils with SEMH, SEND and complex needs
• Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills
• A hands-on, pupil-focused approach to school leadership
