Job Title: SEMH Humanities Teacher

Salary: £170 - £250 per day

Can you deliver engaging Humanities lessons to students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Alternative Provision in Failsworth that supports teenagers with social, emotional and mental health / SEMH needs. The setting provides a supportive learning environment for young people who require additional guidance and structure to engage positively with their education.

The Alternative Provision is looking to appoint a Humanities Teacher from October on a long-term, full-time basis, teaching students across KS3 and KS4. The successful Humanities Teacher will be expected to deliver engaging Humanities lessons, adapt teaching to individual needs and confidently manage challenging behaviour within the classroom.

The successful Humanities Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience teaching Humanities across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The confidence to manage challenging behaviour
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
